In order to analyze the factors affecting the hiding power of titanium dioxide, Zeng Chenghua, Jiang Xianjun and Xie Meijuan from Panzhihua College and Panzhihua Oriental Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. focused on improving the hiding power system of titanium dioxide, from the perspective of rutile content, color reduction power, particle size, and dispersibility. The influence of equal angles on the hiding power of titanium dioxide was experimentally analyzed, and the following conclusions were drawn from it:
1. The hiding power of titanium dioxide is one of the important indicators of the application performance of titanium dioxide. The precise control of the technical parameters of titanium dioxide production is the key to give full play to the excellent hiding power performance of TiO2 itself.
2. The D50 content of medium powder particle size is the main factor affecting the hiding power of titanium dioxide. The more the particle size D50 content of the medium powder, the less the number of particles per unit mass, the less the amount of TiO2 particles covered per unit area, and the smaller the covering power; Both have a great influence, but the rutile content and the amount of organic silicon have no obvious influence, and the degree of influence is in the order of medium powder particle size D50>color reduction power≈oil dispersibility>ratio of less than 1μm.
3. Under the conditions of this study, the appropriate medium powder particle size D50 can increase the hiding power of the product by more than 4 percentage points, and the decolorizing power and dispersibility can be increased by 3 percentage points respectively.
Next, we will learn more about it according to his paper "Analysis of Factors Affecting Hiding Power of Titanium Dioxide":
