Analysis and Countermeasures of Adhesion of UV inks on Film stickers

Regarding the failure analysis of the poor adhesion of UV ink on the film self-adhesive material, in the printing and processing industry, what should be done when encountering the problem of poor adhesion between the film material and the UV ink used? First of all, we must correctly analyze the cause of the failure and find a reasonable solution. Compared with paper self-adhesive materials, film self-adhesive materials have the characteristics of good water resistance, good transparency, high strength, and good durability. The amount used in chemical products and electronic products is increasing. Commonly used films for making film self-adhesive materials include: polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyester (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), polyolefin (PE and PP co- mixed) and so on. Different from paper, film is not absorbent, so the printing of film stickers mainly uses UV embossing and UV flexo printing. In the printing process, the problem often encountered by label printing companies is the poor adhesion of UV ink on the surface of the film. This article will analyze the reason and explain the troubleshooting method of this fault.
