QML type coating falling sand abrasion tester is mainly suitable for measuring the wear resistance of fluorocarbon paint film coated on aluminum alloy building profile substrates. This instrument can also use the falling sand method to measure paint, varnish, spray paint and Coating abrasion resistance of the product concerned.

The testing machine is designed and manufactured according to GB/T5237.5-2000 <Aluminum alloy building profiles, fluorocarbon paint spray profiles>.

Test environment

1. The test should be carried out at room temperature and the relative humidity is not more than 80%.

2. Take shelter from the wind during the test.

Main structure and Principle

QML type coating falling sand wear-resistant testing machine is mainly composed of frame parts (10); hopper parts (8); conduit parts (6); sample rack parts (4) and so on (see the structural diagram).

The Principle of the instrument is that the standard sand freely falls from a specified height through the conduit to scour the paint film on the surface of the sample, and grind until the base material of the test plate with a diameter of 4mm is exposed. The volume (L) of abrasive materials used to wear a paint layer of a unit thickness is used to measure the wear resistance of fluorocarbon paint films coated on aluminum alloy building profiles, as well as paints, varnishes, spray paints and related product coatings.
