QZP black and white opacity test plate overview
The black and white grid hiding power board is manufactured in accordance with the provisions of the national standard GB1726-88 , and is suitable for the measurement of paint hiding power. That is, on the surface , the minimum amount of paint used to achieve its base color is no longer present, expressed in grams/m2.
Instructions for use
1. Wipe the surface of the black and white grid board clean.
2. Use an appropriate container to hold enough paint to be tested, weigh it with a balance together with a brush, and record the total weight (ie W1), accurate to 0.01g.
3. Apply the paint evenly on the black and white grid board with a brush until the grid can no longer be distinguished by visual inspection. Visual inspection is recommended to be carried out in a standard light box.
4. Weigh the remaining paint, together with the weight of the brush used (ie W2)
5. Calculate the hiding power "X" in g/m2. Formula: X=(W1-W2) ISx104-50(W1-W2) where: X=hiding power, unit g/m2. W1=original weight, unit g. W2= residual weight, unit g. S=painting area, unit Cm2.
6. Accuracy: The arithmetic mean of the two measurements shall prevail, but the difference between the two measured values shall not be >5%. If the difference between the two measured values is >5%, the data will be invalid and the test shall be repeated.
7. Precautions: Brushing should be done quickly and evenly, and paint should not be painted around the grille. When the paint to be tested is too thick to be painted evenly, the sample can be diluted, but the amount of diluent should be calculated according to the covering power. proportional deduction.
