        1. Reasons for poor hiding power of paint

        The thickness of the paint layer is not enough, and the paint hiding power is poor. The reasons are:

          a) Improper spraying method.

          c) Inhomogeneous paint mixing.

        2. How to prevent poor covering power of paints and other coatings

          b) The space of the spray booth should be suitable, the lighting conditions should be good, and special attention should be paid to the spray quality of inaccessible areas when spraying.

          c) To effectively mix the paint evenly.

        遮盖力,也称为遮盖率(%) = Y黑色/Y白色*100(%)

        遮盖率100%就是完全遮盖,即黑色和白色区域之间的涂膜后不存在任何差异。

        使用步骤

        1、按照涂膜步骤将油漆等涂料均匀地涂布在油漆遮盖力测试纸上。

        2、等涂膜经空气充分干燥之后,利用仪器进行客观测评。

        3、遮盖力数值能于1秒内测量得并自动显示出来。

        油漆遮盖力测试纸不只局限于油漆等涂料遮盖力的测定,对应的遮盖力测试方法也可应用在透明薄膜和塑料产品的遮盖率检测。

        流平流挂试验

        Leneta 流平测试 (参见 ASTM D 4062)

        A.器材

        1.Leneta流平器,产品编号LTB-2;

        2.涂布流平度标准,产品编号LS-2;

        3.流平测试涂布板,产品编号DP-2;

        4.刮样纸Form WB,用于浅色油漆;Form 7B刮样纸用于深色油漆;

        5.垫纸,Form CP-2

        6.预剪切设备,参见产品目录第36页;

        B.涂料的预备

        1.完全搅拌,温度调整至23°C (73°F);

        2.必要时过滤和调整粘度;

        3.使用预剪切方法(the attached Pre-Shear Method)描述中的一种来进行预剪切,之后需要马上进行测试。

        C.涂漆

        1.垫纸放置于涂布板上。

        2.将刮样纸紧靠涂布板的左引导边放置。

        3.流平器放在卡纸顶端位置,它的长臂紧靠左引导边并朝向操作者。

        4.取8-10毫升预剪切好的涂料置于流平器前端,以大约60厘米/秒(2英尺/秒)的速度进行快速均匀涂布。

        5.在23°C (73°F)下,保持水平至干燥。

        D.评级

        1.干燥后,裁剪出一块3x5英寸(75 x 125毫米)大小的卡纸,条纹与长边平行。

        2.在适合的斜光下将之与Leneta涂布流平度标准板对比。

        3.匹配的标准编号就是Leneta的涂布流平值。评级的高级别是10,最低级别是0。

        E. 评级值的实际意义

        这是基于主观的判断。下表结论源自于一个经验丰富的实验室集体的共识:

        A. 仪器

        B. 涂料的预备

        1.将直边器放置于涂布用标准板的适当位置。 2.在涂布板上放置测试刮样纸并夹住。 3.把流挂器放在刮样纸上靠近夹子的地方,流挂器开面朝操作者且其双肩紧靠直边器。放置垫纸。 4.在刀刃前放置适量(8-10毫升)的预剪切好的油漆,然后匀速以大约6英寸/秒(150毫米/秒)的速度进行涂布。 5.稳定快速的将它垂直放置,让条纹像立起的梯子一样水平,左边(最薄的条纹)在上面,并让它在保持这个状态下干燥。

        D. 涂布评级

        1.将涂布的条纹与防流挂器上的凹槽一一对应起来。 2.忽略前部和拖尾部份的边缘,只要观察条纹中央150毫米(5-1/2英寸)处即可,相当于Form 7B的黑色区域。 3.没有接触到下面条纹的那条最低(最厚)的那条条纹即作为标志条纹,而它对应的凹槽数就是油漆的防流挂指数。 4.要得到更精准的防流挂指数,需要在把凹槽数加上间隙间增量和非融入系数值(它融入下面条纹的系数)。

        非融入系数可根据下表估计:

        E. 评级说明

               这是以经验或试验为依据的并且有很强的主观性。需要强调的是,抗流挂指数不是湿膜厚度值。它是以mils表示的指示凹槽的间隙,因此,指示条纹大约是湿膜厚度的两倍。抗流挂指数及其相应大约的湿膜厚度都不应被理解为实践中的特定厚度。它是一个比较工具,只有基于实践经验它才能获取实际成果。一旦涂料在实际使用中体现了良好的抗流挂性,流挂指数即可被测量出并因此实现对具体配方流挂值的控制。

               不同的产品之间的抗流挂指数可能不相同。譬如,乳胶漆通常比溶剂型涂料具有更高的指数值。下面关于流挂性能的判断是基于对一系列通用高光醇酸树脂色漆的观察而来的,且仅供参考之用。请勿将之作为最终结论。
