3.2.2 Or wrap the test panel with paper soaked in mineral oil and store it.

3.2.3 Or store in a desiccator.

3.3 Solvent cleaning method for making boards

Wipe the sleeves on the test plate, and use xylene or solvent gasoline to clean the sleeve traces; you can also use non-toxic, non-acid- and alkali-free solvents that evaporate quickly. The cleaned test plate can be dried by evaporation of the solvent or washed with a clean silk cloth. Wipe dry. If not applied immediately, store in a desiccator.

3.4 Polishing (polishing) French bait

The grinding (polishing) operation is a method of obtaining a flat and smooth surface by removing surface unevenness and surface dirt that cannot be removed by solvent cleaning by sandpaper.

In order to ensure that the original surface layer is ground away, the thickness of the surface layer removed should be no less than 0.7m, calculated based on the reduction in mass of the test plate (the mass per unit area of 5~6g/m² is approximately equal to 0.7m thick) .

The polished test panels should be cleaned according to the operating procedures specified in 3.3 before use. Unless otherwise specified, sanding shall be done by dry sanding with No. 400 water sandpaper as specified. The test plate is polished according to the following operating procedures:

a. Grind straightly and evenly back and forth in the parallel direction on any side of the test plate.

b. Grind straightly and evenly back and forth in the direction perpendicular to the first direction until the original surface is worn away.

c. Polish in a circular motion with a diameter of about 80 to 100 mm until the circles formed on the surface overlap.

Note: If there are special requirements for the surface treatment of the test plate, other operating procedures and methods may be specified for implementation.

5. Jet blast cleaning of legal boards

Cold-rolled steel plates used in general test methods should not be treated with spray blast cleaning.

When blasting and blasting hot-rolled low carbon steel, if there are no special provisions, blasting cleaning should be carried out according to the instructions in Appendix B. However, before cleaning, the test plate should be cleaned according to the operation specified in Article 3.3.

4.Tinplate

4.1 Materials

The tinplate plate should comply with the tin plating amount EA specified in GB2520, the hardness grade is T52, and the nominal thickness is O.30mm. The other dimensions of the test panel shall comply with the requirements of the test method.

4.2 Solvent cleaning method for making boards

Before painting the test panels, they should be cleaned according to the operations specified in 3.3.

4.3 Polishing (polishing) the French board

If a more uniform test surface is required than solvent-cleaned panels, it is recommended to grind the tinplate panels.

Unless otherwise specified, the grinding process should be done by dry grinding with 500-grade water sandpaper that meets the regulations.

The grinding operation should be carried out according to the operation specified in 3.4, but the grinding action should be much lighter to avoid the abrasive embedded in the surface. There should not be any tin plating layer on the test panel that is completely worn away.

The polished test panels should be cleaned according to the operations specified in 3.3 before use.

5.Aluminum plate

5.1 Materials

Aluminum plates should comply with the technical requirements of GB3880.

The thickness and other dimensions of the test plate shall comply with the provisions of the test method.

5.2 Solvent cleaning method for making boards

Before painting the test panels, they should be cleaned according to the operations specified in 3.3.

5.3 Grinding (polishing) the French board

The abrasive for grinding (polishing) should be composed of calcined alumina powder and comply with the regulations of GB2477, and should be mixed. Its specifications are as follows:

For particles exceeding 63m, the maximum is 10%;

Asbestos cement dust is harmful to human health. During the production, cutting and surface treatment of asbestos cement test panels, dust prevention measures should be taken, such as wearing appropriate masks and using wet cutting.

7.3 Surface treatment of test panels

Wipe off the dust on the test plate with a dry cloth, and immerse the test plate in clean water for a week.
