Polyacrylamide (PAM) solids content can be determined by drying method.
The determination steps are as follows:
Take a certain amount of PAM solution (0.11 g in general), put it into a dry dish weighed at room temperature, put the dish in an oven, and dry it at 6080°C for 2 to 3 hours, and take it out after it is completely dry.
Put the drying dish into a desiccator, and dry it at a constant temperature of about 100°C until the weight remains constant.
According to the weight difference before and after drying, calculate the PAM solids content. The calculation formula is:
Solid content (%) = (mass after drying - mass before drying) / mass before drying × 100%
