How to apply phenolic paint?
Phenolic paint (including cool glue paint and calcium ester paint) has good leveling properties, and generally a brush with thin hair and a soft head should be used. When brushing with this kind of brush, it saves effort and greatly reduces the brush pattern. If it is a small furniture (or component) that is beating around the bush, you should choose a brush with thick hair and soft head.
Taking a 3-inch (1 inch = 25.4 mm) long-bristle brush as an example, the number of dips when brushing phenolic paint is: brush the horizontal surface, dip 7 to 8 times per square meter; brush the vertical surface, dip every square meter Dip the area 5-6 times. On the horizontal surface, brush 0.12-0.14 square meters horizontally along the object surface every time you dip it; on the vertical surface, brush 0.16-0.2 square meters horizontally along the object surface every time you dip it, and brush the object surface roughly once in this way. Then: on the horizontal plane, brush from the left front corner to the right rear corner, and then from the left rear corner to the right front corner; on the vertical plane, from the left upper corner to the right The lower corner, and then brush from the lower left corner to the upper right corner for one time. In this way, alternately brush twice diagonally, and finally brush once longitudinally along the direction of the object surface, and the brush pattern will be neat and beautiful. Generally, the surface of the object is brushed two or three times by this method, and it will be even, translucent and smooth, and there will be no phenomena such as brush separation, sagging (related instrument: Sag Tester), laughing or wrinkling.
