Moulding method of ultrafiltration membrane

Ultrafiltration membrane is a microporous membrane that can separate solutes and suspended substances in liquids by screening molecular sizes. Ultrafiltration membranes are usually used in water treatment, food, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and other fields, and have broad application prospects.

Detection performance

Performance testing of ultrafiltration membranes includes:

Separation Efficiency: Evaluate the separation efficiency of the membrane for solutes and suspended solids of different molecular sizes.

Flux: Evaluates the filtration rate and water production of a membrane.

Fouling Resistance: Evaluate the membrane's resistance to fouling and anti-fouling properties.

Mechanical properties: Evaluate the mechanical strength and stability of the membrane.

Membrane method

Different methods can be used to prepare ultrafiltration membranes. Common preparation methods include:

Solvent impregnation method: the ultrafiltration membrane raw material is dissolved in a specific solvent, impregnated on the substrate and dried to form a membrane layer.

Gel impregnation method: The ultrafiltration membrane raw material is dispersed in the gel solution, impregnated on the substrate and gelled to form a membrane layer.

Vapor phase deposition method: The film raw material is dispersed in the gas phase, and deposited on the surface of the substrate through a chemical reaction to form a film layer.

Direct transfer method: dissolve the ultrafiltration membrane raw material in an organic solvent, and transfer it directly on the substrate to form a membrane layer.

The preparation methods of ultrafiltration membranes are different, and the structure and performance of the membrane layer will also be different. Therefore, it is necessary to select suitable ultrafiltration membrane preparation methods and materials for different application scenarios. Quality control is required during the preparation process, including controlling the purity of raw materials, controlling the concentration of the solution, controlling the soaking time and temperature, etc., so as to ensure the quality and stability of the prepared ultrafiltration membrane.
