During the production process, it is often very important to know the time required for coating drying or curing. For multi-layer Coating systems, knowing the drying time allows the operator to know that the next layer is suitable to start painting.
The drying time of the coating consists of many stages. When the Spreader is completed, the coating falls flat in neutral action. Once the Coating starts to cure, very thin drying begins to appear on the surface. Then the coating continues to dry, and finally after a period of time, the coating is completely cured.
Straight line and circumference methods:
The two functional methods are similar, both using the following formula to calculate the drying time:
Distance = Speed X Time
Generally speaking, the curing of coatings is from the surface to a very low level, and there will be a layer left on the surface: skin, when the active liquid plays, the coating thickness will decrease, and according to the film thickness, cracking may also occur.........
The main instrument for measuring coating drying time is coating Drying time Recorder.
