High-low temperature resistance test scheme for thermal insulation coatings

Thermal insulation coatings are mainly used to protect the coated objects (such as pipelines, storage tanks, ships, etc.) from environmental conditions such as high temperature and low temperature. In actual use, the thermal insulation coating will be affected by different temperature environments, so high-low temperature resistance tests are required.

The high-low temperature resistance test can simulate the high temperature and low temperature conditions in the actual use environment, and detect the performance of the thermal insulation coating under these conditions, such as temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance, cold shock resistance, etc. , to judge whether it meets the design requirements, so as to ensure its reliability and stability.

In addition, the high-low temperature resistance test can also evaluate the temperature adaptability range of thermal insulation coating materials, helping manufacturers or users to choose more suitable materials to adapt to different environmental conditions, thereby improving product performance and service life.

The high-low temperature resistance test scheme of the thermal insulation coating is shown in Figure 1

experiment procedure

The high-low Temperature Test Chamber can be used for high-low temperature resistance tests of thermal insulation coatings to evaluate their heat resistance and cold resistance. Here are the test steps:

  1. Sample preparation: Prepare the thermal insulation coating sample according to the standard method, and pay attention to avoid the sample from getting wet and polluted during the preparation process.

  2. Sample loading: Evenly coat the prepared sample on a metal plate or other substrate, and wait for the sample to dry and solidify.

  3. Test settings: Put the prepared samples into the high-low Temperature Test Chamber, and set the test temperature and time according to the standard.

  4. High-low temperature cycle: The high-low temperature cycle test is carried out in the high-low Temperature Test Chamber to simulate the temperature change in the actual use environment.

  5. Observation records: During the test, regularly observe whether the surface of the sample appears discoloration, cracks, peeling, etc., and record the test results.

  6. End of the test: After the end of the test, take out the sample, check whether the physical properties of the sample have changed, and analyze the test results.

  7. Beichao reminds you: the test conditions of different thermal insulation coatings may be different, and the specific test steps should be carried out according to the corresponding standards and requirements.
