The coating water resistance test is divided into water immersion test and boiling water test.
(1) Instruments and equipment
Glass chute or tumbler.
(2) Sample
See Table 6-2

(3) Test method
Put 2/3 of the sample area into distilled water at a temperature of (23l2) °C. If it is a boiling water test, it should be immersed in boiling distilled water. After the soaking time specified in the product standard is reached, take it out and dry it with filter paper. If the coating is sharp, wrinkled, or blistered, it is considered unqualified. If there is loss of gloss, discoloration, rust, and reduced impact resistance, etc., whether it is qualified or not shall be judged according to the product standard. When inspecting, no less than 2 samples shall meet the requirements of the product standard as qualified. (Related instruments: Colorimeter, impact Tester )
The chemical corrosion resistance test method is similar to the above method, except that the water is replaced with the corrosive medium solution to be tested, and the material of the container must be resistant to the action of the corrosive medium.
