ABS is the English abbreviation for acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene copolymer. This kind of plastic has high strength and good processing performance, so it is widely used in mechanical parts, electrical devices, automobiles and chemical facilities. However, ABS is prone to UV degradation, and painted ABS products can overcome UV degradation and improve their appearance. The method and requirements of painting are as follows:
(1) Basic treatment. Ethanol or gasoline can be used to degrease and remove the release agent. ABS is easy to be electrostatically charged and attached to dust, so when it is painted by special methods such as vacuum distillation and gold plating, ion jet dust removal method can be used.
(2) Paint selection. Applicable coatings include acrylic paint, epoxy paint, polyurethane paint, raw lacquer, etc. Commonly used varieties include 115 acrylic exterior enamel paint, 7182 acrylic polyurethane paint, acrylic plastic paint, etc. Conditions can also be self-made paint. For example, take 300 parts of raw lacquer, 340 parts of Zhuhe lacquer, 150 parts of concentrated milk (fresh milk is concentrated to 50% volume), 100 parts of iron oxide or orpiment (two stele trisulfide) moon). Take 100 parts of this paint and mix with 33 parts of toluene diisocyanate. Then take 100 parts of this mixed paint and mix it with 50 parts of dimethyl resin in toluene kerosene (2:1) solution to get the paint for ABS. This paint does not need a primer when it is painted, and has good adhesion to ABS.
(3) Painting and drying (related instruments: drying time Tester). It can be sprayed, dipped, showered and rolled. ABS coating generally chooses self-drying paint. If it needs to be baked to form a film (an oven can be used in the experiment), the temperature should not exceed 75 ℃, and the time is about 20 to 30 minutes.
