Introduction of new technology of coating corrosion resistance inspection

The corrosion resistance of the coating is an important indicator that reflects the ability of the coating to protect the base metal and resist environmental erosion, and directly affects the service life of the coated product. Especially for protective coatings and protective-decorative coatings, there are clear requirements for the corrosion resistance index of the coatings, which need to be strictly inspected. Therefore, it is a necessary work to adopt an appropriate method to determine the corrosion resistance of the coating on the coated product.

The use environment of electroplating products is different, and the factors affecting the corrosion resistance of the coating are extremely complex. If the corrosion resistance of electroplating products is investigated under the actual use environment and working conditions, although the actual corrosion resistance and service life can be correctly evaluated , but after all, the cycle is long, time-consuming and labor-intensive. Therefore, except for specific products, it is generally desirable to adopt a short-term, simple and effective method to test the corrosion resistance of coatings.

At present, the test methods for testing the corrosion resistance of coatings generally fall into the following categories.

(1) The use environment test observes and evaluates the corrosion resistance of the coating during the working process of the coated product in the actual use environment.

(2) Atmospheric exposure (that is, indoor and outdoor exposure) corrosion test Put the coated product or sample on the sample rack in the atmospheric exposure site (indoor or outdoor), conduct corrosion tests under various natural atmospheric conditions, and observe the corrosion regularly The characteristics of the process, the corrosion rate is measured, and the corrosion resistance of the coating is evaluated. (3) Artificial accelerated and simulated corrosion tests use artificial methods to simulate certain corrosive environments, and conduct rapid corrosion tests on electroplated products to identify the corrosion resistance of coatings in a fast and effective way.
