Spinning & weaving humidity resistance test scheme

The constant temperature and humidity Test Chamber can also be used for the moisture resistance test of textiles to evaluate the stability and quality of textiles in high humidity and high temperature environments.

Textile heat and humidity resistance test scheme with Figure 1

application

The moisture and heat resistance test of textiles is usually used to evaluate the properties of textiles such as shrinkage resistance, wrinkle resistance, fading resistance and deformation resistance in high humidity and high temperature environments, so as to determine their adaptability during long-term use and storage. This test is often used for quality control and pre-production evaluation of textiles to ensure compliance with national standards and customer requirements.

experiment procedure

  • Preparation of test specimens: According to standard methods, prepare the required textile samples.

  • Cleaning of Specimen: Thoroughly wash the specimen with detergent and distilled water and make sure the surface of the specimen is dry.

  • Install the sample: Place the sample in a sample tray or other suitable container and place it in the Test Chamber.

  • Set test conditions: According to test standards, set the constant temperature and humidity conditions of the Test Chamber. Typically, the temperature is between 40°C and 60°C and the humidity is between 75% and 95%.

  • Conduct the test: Start the Test Chamber and maintain the test conditions, usually for at least 48 hours, during which the test results should be checked and recorded regularly.

  • Check the results: After the test, the samples were removed and evaluated. The evaluation content includes the appearance, shrinkage rate, wrinkle degree, fading degree, deformation degree, etc. of the textile.

  • Analyzing the results: Based on the test results, the stability and durability of the textile are determined. If the textile changes during the test, further adjustments and improvements to the test conditions will be required.

Beichao reminds you: During the test, you should pay attention to keep the laboratory dry and hygienic, and operate in accordance with the standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of the test. In addition, before conducting the test, you should also understand the specific requirements and methods of the test standard to ensure that the test results meet the requirements.
