As for the detection of fineness, it is the quality inspection index of paint factory products. The fineness of paint can affect the gloss, permeability and storage stability of the coating. It is mainly used to determine the color method or the size of the pigment particles in the paint paste, or the uniformity of its dispersion, which is expressed in µm. The size of the pigment particles, the higher the degree of dispersion in the paint, the finer the fineness, and the smoother the paint film. However, due to different types of paints and different uses, the requirements for the fineness of the removed materials are different. Generally, in the coating system composed of primer, middle coat and top coat, the top coat is the thinnest, the middle coat is the second deepest, and the primer is the thinnest.
At present, the scraper Fineness Meter is commonly used to measure the composition of coatings. There are GB/T1724 standard Fineness Meters and IS0 l524 standard Fineness Meters. In container manufacturing plants, the fineness index of coatings is generally not determined.
