The standard method for the determination of tinting strength is based on the principle of comparing (in quality and quantity) the shade of the paint containing the tested pigment with the shade of the paint containing the standard pigment.
The tinting strength of the tested paint can be judged according to the amount of the opposite color (compared). (Related instrument: Colorimeter)
The choice of the color of the colorant depends on the color of the pigment to be tested. The following colorants can be used as standard: carbon black for white pigments, zinc white for black pigments, perlin blue for yellow pigments, chrome yellow for blue pigments, zinc white for red pigments (See Table 7).

When preparing the standard color sample, the standard pigment and the hand ginseng color must be mixed according to the ratio listed in Table 7, and then the mixture is carefully mixed with natural hot oil on the florist stone board with a pestle. Ground study fine. After the ground paint is diluted with natural cooked oil to a degree suitable for painting , use a hard brush to paint a uniform paint layer on the white iron plate.
