For complete (graded) sieve analysis of pigments, a set of sieves (seven sieves of standard size) must be used; in order to increase the speed of sieving, the sieves can be placed in a mechanically vibrated environment. Among special instruments (related instruments: dispersing machine).
Very good results were obtained using the special vibrating apparatus prescribed by the national standard (Fig. 26).
