Determination of transparency of paint film by photoelectric Turbidimeter

The photoelectric turbidity Colorimeter used to measure the transparency of celluloid in the plastics industry can also be used to measure the transparency of paint films (oil-based varnishes, synthetic resin paints, fiber paints, etc.).

For the transparency test, an instrument graduated by means of a set of neutral glass (HC) graduated with various absorptivity (from zero to 100% in 10% intervals) can be used, and the results compiled by the scale are used. Comparison table (Tapa) KHa know Ta6 former nua). The follow-up diagram and schematic diagram of the instrument are shown in Figure 60. (Related instrument: light transmittance meter)

Measuring the transparency of the paint film with a photoelectric turbidimeter with Figure 1

Golubev designed a photoelectric Colorimeter for measuring the color and transparency of various oil and varnish solutions. The circuit diagram of the instrument is shown in Figure 61. All parts of the instrument are installed in a box. The characteristic of the Golubev instrument is that it can be equipped with an optical filter for adjustment next to the photocell and a monochromatic filter next to the light source.
