Architectural waterproof coating is a coating applied to the surface of a building to improve its waterproof performance, usually consisting of polymers, pigments and additives. They can be applied to the waterproofing layer of various buildings, such as roofs, walls, basements and Water Tanks, etc. Architectural waterproof coatings have excellent water resistance, weather resistance and UV resistance, which can protect buildings from damage from water, moisture and ultraviolet rays, and improve the service life and reliability of buildings.
Detection performance
| Performance name | Equipment to be used |
|---|---|
| thickness | Thickness Gauge |
| Tensile Strength | Tensile testing machine |
| elongation at break | Tensile testing machine |
| water resistance | Water circulation device |
| weather resistance | UV aging Test Chamber |
| UV resistance | UV aging Test Chamber |
| Bond strength | Shear Strength Tester |
| Coefficient of expansion | Thermal Expansion Coefficient Meter |
Detection steps:
Thickness: Use a Thickness Gauge to measure the thickness of the building waterproof coating, record the measured value and calculate the average value.
Tensile strength and elongation at break: use a Tensile Testing Machine to conduct a tensile test, record the test data and calculate the tensile strength and elongation at break.
Water resistance: use a water circulation device to place the architectural waterproof coating in water, record the time and observe the change of the coating.
Weather resistance and anti-ultraviolet ability: use the ultraviolet aging Test Chamber to simulate the solar radiation and atmospheric environment, and observe the changes of the waterproof coating of the building.
Adhesive strength: Use a shear strength Tester to conduct a shear test, record the test data and calculate the adhesive strength.
Expansion coefficient: Use a thermal expansion coefficient Tester to measure the expansion coefficient of the building waterproof coating, record the measured value and calculate the average value.
