Key performance and detection method of roof insulating coatings

Roof heat insulation coating is a kind of waterproof and heat insulation coating applied to building roofs. It has the functions of heat insulation, waterproof, heat preservation, etc. It can effectively reduce indoor temperature and reduce energy consumption. Its fields of application include roofs of various building types such as residential, commercial, and industrial.

Detection steps:

  1. Bond strength: Use a shear strength Tester to conduct a shear test between the coating and the substrate, record the maximum bearing capacity and calculate the bond strength value.

  2. Water resistance: Put the coating sample into the water resistance cycler, and conduct a cycle test at the specified temperature to observe whether the coating has peeling, discoloration, blistering, etc.

  3. Heat resistance: Put the coating sample into the thermal stability Test Chamber, conduct a stability test at high temperature, and observe whether the coating has discoloration, cracks, etc.

  4. Crack resistance: use a crack bridge Tester to test the coating, record the cracking load value of the coating at a certain span, and calculate the crack resistance.

  5. Density: Use a density meter to test the density of the paint and record the test results.

  6. Thermal conductivity: Use a thermal conductivity meter to test the thermal conductivity of the coating.

  7. Fire performance: Test the fire performance of the coating using a vertical burning Tester.

  8. Weather resistance: put the coating sample into an artificial climate aging box, and conduct an aging test under natural environments such as simulated sunlight and rain, and observe whether the coating has color changes, cracks, and peeling off.

  9. Brushability: Use a brush applicator to conduct a brushability test to see how the paint behaves under different application speeds and pressures.
