In the inspection of container paint film quality, many container owners and container inspection companies need to follow the technical requirements of the 1S0241f7 "Technical Requirements for Paint Film Cross-cut Test" in addition to using a paint Film Thickness Gauge to measure the paint film thickness. A cross-hatch test is required.
(1) Tools
Following the 1S0250l1 standard, the tools used for the cross-hatch test include single-knife and multi-knife commercial cutting wheels. The multi-knife fine wheel generally has 6 wheel blades, and the distance between the cutting wheels is 1m, 1, or 2mm, and the maximum does not exceed 3M. Table 8-l2 is the characteristic data of the cutting wheel group. (Related instrument: grid knife)

In the inspection of container paint film, a cross-hatch with a 2mm wheel spacing is generally used.
2) Operation steps
Draw 6 parallel traces on the paint film at a certain interval. Then do the same operation in the orthogonal 90° direction to form a grid. Clean with a soft brush, apply a few tapes, and then peel them off. Figure 8.4 is a schematic diagram of the cross-cutting device and sticking tape.

(3) Evaluation of test results
After the above test steps are completed, the condition of the paint-like surface shall be classified and evaluated according to the test results in Table 8_13.
