What is an ozone gas alarm?

An ozone gas alarm is a device used to detect the concentration of ozone (O3) in the air. Based on the characteristics of ozone, it measures the concentration of ozone in indoor air through sensors and triggers an alarm when a set threshold is exceeded to remind people to take appropriate measures.

Working principle

Ozone gas alarms usually use electrochemical sensors or semiconductor sensors to detect the concentration of ozone. The sensor chemically reacts with ozone to generate an electrical signal. The sensor measures and analyzes this electrical signal and determines the concentration of ozone in the indoor air based on the measurement results. Once the ozone concentration exceeds a set threshold, the alarm will issue an alarm signal such as sound, light or vibration.

Application field

Ozone gas alarms are widely used in the following fields:

Indoor air quality monitoring: It is used to monitor the concentration of ozone in indoor air in offices, schools, hospitals, and other places.

Air conditioning system and ventilation system control: used to monitor and control the concentration of ozone in air conditioning systems and ventilation systems to ensure indoor air quality.

Water treatment and wastewater treatment: It is used to monitor the concentration of ozone in the water treatment process to ensure the safety of water quality.

Laboratories and research institutions: used to monitor ozone concentrations in laboratories, research institutions, and scientific research sites to ensure safety and the accuracy of experimental results.

Environmental monitoring: for monitoring ozone concentration in environmental protection agencies, meteorological research, and air pollution monitoring.

General technical parameters

The following are examples of some technical parameters in a sulfur fluoride gas alarm:

Technical parametersdescribe
Detection rangeMinimum and maximum detection ranges for SF6 gas concentrations in indoor air
resolutionThe number of decimal places in the measurement result
response timeTime from when the SF6 concentration exceeds the threshold to when the alarm is triggered
sensitivitySensitivity to changes in SF6 concentration
Operating temperature rangeThe temperature range in which the device can operate normally
