The prepative method of epoxy phenolic anti-corrosion coatings

Epoxy phenolic anti-corrosion coatings: a versatile choice for corrosion protection

Epoxy phenolic anticorrosive coating is a special coating made of epoxy resin and phenolic resin. After printing and coating, this kind of coating can be baked at high temperature to form a cross-linked network polymer coating film. It has a variety of excellent properties, including resistance to dilute acids, dilute alkali, hydrogen sulfide and organic solvent penetration. This coating has excellent corrosion resistance and strong adhesion to metal, so it is widely used in the anti-corrosion protection of the inner walls of various food and beverage sheet metal cans. It should be noted that when using this coating, high temperature (150~200°C) is required for curing, but the coating should not be too thick and the baking temperature should not be too high, otherwise the adhesion of the coating film will be significantly affected.

Preparation:

The method for preparing this epoxy phenolic anticorrosive coating is relatively simple. First, add mica iron oxide, tetrabasic zinc chromium yellow, aluminum powder slurry, talc powder and a part of silicone oil to the reinforced phenolic resin (50% solution), and then grind and disperse it until it reaches a certain fineness. Next, add the epoxy resin, the remaining reinforcing phenolic resin (50% solution) and the remaining silicone oil, and mix evenly.

Application scope:

Epoxy phenolic anti-corrosion coatings are known for their excellent physical and mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, scale inhibition, anti-permeability, thermal conductivity, mildew resistance, storage stability and construction performance. It is suitable for a variety of engineering fields and can meet the anti-corrosion and scale inhibition needs of equipment such as carbon steel coolers with process temperatures below 200°C.

In short, epoxy phenolic anti-corrosion coating is a multi-functional corrosion protection material that is widely used in industry and food processing fields to extend the service life of equipment, reduce maintenance costs, and improve safety performance. Its unique properties and preparation methods make it an important technology in the field of coating. In the future, environmental protection and sustainability will continue to drive the development of anti-corrosion coatings to ensure that various equipment and structures can effectively resist the threat of corrosion and erosion.
