Plastic corrugated boards play an important role in modern construction and packaging industries, and their folding resistance in low-temperature environments is one of the important indicators for evaluating their quality and reliability. This article will focus on the principles, methods and importance of testing the folding resistance of calcium plastic corrugated boards under low temperature conditions.
Test principles and methods
The main principle of the low-temperature bending resistance test is to bend the calcium-plastic corrugated board under specified low-temperature conditions to determine its fracture performance in a low-temperature environment. The sample is a long strip with a size of 200mm à 25mm, and the length direction is consistent with the corrugated direction. Three samples are taken from each group for testing. Before testing, all specimens must be pretreated under specified temperature and humidity conditions and tested under the same conditions. The specific test method is to place the sample in a thermos flask filled with dry ice, and maintain the temperature in the thermos flask by controlling the addition of dry ice. Grade A calcium plastic corrugated board is -40°C, and grade B is -20°C. After 15 minutes, take out the sample, clamp the sample with a wooden board and bend it at 90° and 180°, and observe and record whether cracks appear at the bend of the sample. If there is a crack in one piece of the sample, it means that the calcium-plastic corrugated board failed the low-temperature folding endurance test. It should be noted that the bending test must be completed within 30 seconds after the sample is taken out.
Test results and index requirements
The test results of the low-temperature folding resistance of calcium plastic corrugated boards should meet the index requirements. For specific requirements, please refer to Table 4-5. For different grades of calcium-plastic corrugated boards, the bending resistance requirements may be different, but the specimen is usually required to be bent without cracks in a low-temperature environment to ensure its reliability and stability under low-temperature conditions.
Importance and Application
Low temperature folding resistance test is one of the important means to evaluate the performance of calcium plastic corrugated boards in extreme environments. In cold areas or situations that need to be used in low-temperature environments, such as cold storage, refrigerated vehicles, etc., the cold-resistant performance of calcium-plastic corrugated boards is directly related to its effectiveness and safety in actual use. By testing the low-temperature folding resistance, problems that may arise in calcium-plastic corrugated boards in low-temperature environments can be discovered and solved in a timely manner, thereby improving their reliability and stability in practical applications.

Testing the folding resistance of plastic corrugated boards in low-temperature environments is an important step in ensuring their quality and reliability. By strictly implementing testing standards and methods, the performance of calcium plastic corrugated boards under low temperature conditions can be effectively evaluated and its stability and reliability in cold environments can be ensured. Therefore, strengthening the research and practice of low-temperature folding resistance testing is of great significance to improving the quality of plastic corrugated board products and meeting practical application needs.
