Measuring method of linear drying time measuring instrument
The linear drying time Tester generally consists of 1 or more motors, and measures 6 samples at different speeds at the same time. By moving the linear stylus on the coating at an average speed, a track is made on the surface of the paint film to evaluate the drying time of the paint film

①Use the Film Applicator and support provided with the instrument to prepare a paint film on the glass sheet, and then put the glass sheet coated with the paint film into the drying Tester.
②Place the instrument rod at the starting position, and place the stylus on the glass surface to contact the paint film.
③According to the drying condition of the product, adjust the knob to select the appropriate speed. Turn on the power supply, and the scribing needle starts to move at a constant speed on the paint film, and makes a straight line track.
④The instrument will automatically stop at the end of the test. The whole dry operation performance test should be at a temperature of (23±2)°C and a relative humidity of (25±5)°C
The result display of the linear drying time Tester

As shown in the figure, when the test is carried out for 2 hours, the paint film starts to dry (that is, when the track ③ starts), and the paint film is completely dry by 5 hours (at the beginning of ⑤, the track has disappeared)
