Coating, usually called "paint". It is a kind of resin or oil-based, mixed or not mixed with pigments, fillers, prepared with dispersion medium (organic solvent, water, etc.), coated on the surface of protected and decorative objects, and can form a viscous liquid or solid powder that firmly adheres to a continuous film.
In the past, because paints were made of vegetable oils and natural resins, and their functions were similar to raw lacquers in my country, they were always called "paints". With the development of petrochemical and organic synthesis industries, the paint industry has added new sources of raw materials, and many new types of paints no longer use vegetable oils. The proportion of vegetable oils and fats in the entire paint production raw materials is gradually decreasing, and new varieties with various properties are increasing with each passing day, which has fundamentally changed the appearance of paint products. In the past, varieties that used vegetable oils, natural resins and other natural products as raw materials have gradually been replaced by varieties that use synthetic materials as raw materials. Now using the word "paint" to collectively refer to such products can no longer properly express their true colors. In terms of their efficacy, it should be more appropriately called "paint". Therefore, we have now officially adopted it.
The name "paint", but due to people's long-term habit, paint is still sometimes called paint, and "paint" here has generally referred to new and old products of paints and coatings made of resins and oils with or without pigments.
