Coating Fineness Measurement Instruments and Tools
The paint fineness measurement method requires the use of scraper fineness gauges, 0-50 microns and 0-150 microns, and small paint knives. Among them, the 0-50 micron scraper Fineness Meter is used to measure the enamel blending paint; the 0-150 micron scraper Fineness Meter is used to measure the primer and antirust paint.
Coating fineness determination method details
First clean the scraper gauge with solvent and wipe it with a soft cloth. Use a small paint knife to fully stir the paint, and drop an appropriate amount of paint into the deepest part of the groove of the scraper fineness gauge, so that it can fill the groove with a little excess. Within 3 seconds of dropping the sample, use a two-handed scraper to scrape in parallel from the deepest part of the groove to the shallowest part. And immediately keep the line of sight at an angle of 15-30° to the scraper surface, observe the uniformly exposed part of the particles with the light, and record the reading. A reading of no more than 3 particles is the fineness of the paint.

How many times does it take to measure with a scraper Fineness Meter?
Answer: Generally 3 times, the result takes the average value of the two times. Use the data of the average value to compare the data of the technical indicators of the product to see whether it is qualified. If the measured data is greater than the index data, it is considered unqualified.
