Introduction to Thermocouple Thermometers

Thermocouple thermometer is a widely used temperature measuring device in industrial production. The thermocouple sensing element is composed of two metal wires of different materials, with simple structure, convenient use, high precision, wide range, anti-vibration, suitable for medium and high temperature temperature regions.
Principle of Thermocouple Thermometer
A thermocouple is actually an energy converter that converts thermal energy into electrical energy and uses the resulting thermoelectric potential to measure the temperature. For the thermoelectric potential of a thermocouple, the following issues should be noted:
1: The thermoelectric potential of the thermocouple is the difference between the temperature functions at both ends of the working end of the thermocouple, not the difference between the temperature functions at both ends of the cold end and the working end of the thermocouple;
2: The size of the thermoelectric potential generated by the thermocouple, when the material of the thermocouple is uniform, has nothing to do with the length and diameter of the thermocouple, but only with the composition of the thermocouple material and the temperature difference between the two ends;
3: When the material composition of the two thermocouple wires of the thermocouple is determined, the magnitude of the thermoelectric potential of the thermocouple is only related to the temperature difference of the thermocouple; if the temperature of the cold end of the thermocouple remains constant, the thermoelectric potential of the thermocouple is only a single-valued function of the working end temperature. The conductors or semiconductors A and B of two different materials are welded together to form a closed loop, as shown in the figure. When there is a temperature difference between the two attachment points 1 and 2 of conductors A and B, an electromotive force is generated between the two, thus forming a large current in the circuit, a phenomenon called the thermoelectric effect. Thermocouples use this effect to work.
Thermocouple thermometer purchase points
When choosing a thermocouple temperature timing, the main concern is the quality of the sensor. The sensitivity and accuracy of the sensor determine the measurement quality of the Thermocouple Thermometer. Secondly, you need to consider whether you need a single-channel or dual-channel Thermocouple Thermometer, and finally, you should consider whether you need to connect the Thermocouple Thermometer to a computer for data analytics.
