Inspection and maintenance of electrostatic spraying equipment

(1) Due to the long-term electrostatic coating production, the coating is attached to the discharge electrode, which reduces the charging efficiency. Therefore, after the operation is completed, the discharge electrode, the nozzle of the electric Spray Gun and its interior should be cleaned regularly with cotton yarn dipped in solvent. Before scrubbing, the discharge electrode should be grounded and discharged, and it is strictly forbidden to immerse the electrostatic Spray Gun body with internal protection resistance in the solvent.

(2) After the paint is attached to electrical insulating parts such as electrostatic Spray Guns, bracket fixing seats, paint pipes, air pipes and high-voltage cables, not only leakage will occur, but also surface discharge and insulation resistance will be burnt out, causing the risk of spark discharge. . Therefore, after the work is completed, it should be wiped clean with cotton gauze dipped in solvent and dried. Check at the same time, and replace any parts that are damaged immediately.

(3) With the help of the DC voltmeter and ammeter attached to the high-voltage electrostatic generator, regularly measure the voltage and current during the coating process, check for abnormalities, and keep the high-voltage electrostatic generator and its surroundings dry and clean.

(4) During electrostatic coating, the object to be coated needs to be grounded. Usually the grounding route of the object to be coated is: the object to be coated-slinger-transport chain-house steel frame-grounding. Among them, the spreader is easy to adhere to the paint, and with repeated use, the paint accumulates thicker, so it is easy to have poor grounding at the connection point of the spreader, resulting in poor grounding of the coated object. It not only affects the coating efficiency and environmental protection, but also accumulates electric charges, and when people or other contact organisms are close to or contact with it, there is a danger of spark discharge. Therefore, it is necessary to always check whether the grounding of the object to be coated is good.

To check the grounding condition of the object to be coated, a 1000v gauge can be used to measure it. When the insulation resistance between the ground and the object to be coated exceeds 1Ma, it means that the grounding is poor, and the coating on the spreader needs to be stripped. Another inspection method is to use a non-contact static charge Tester to measure the surface potential of the coated object just after painting. If there is a potential, it can be determined that the grounding is poor.
