1. Emery cloth (or sandpaper)
The putty layer can be polished with emery cloth or sandpaper. For rough grinding, use No. 1.5-2.5 emery cloth or No. 150-220 sandpaper. It is used to smooth the putty layer; for fine grinding, use No. 1-00 emery cloth or No. 220-360 sandpaper to smooth the putty layer.
2. Backing plate
The backing plate is a wooden flat plate, and the emery cloth (or sandpaper) can be attached to one side of the backing plate when grinding. It is mainly used for smoothing the putty layer on the plane, so as to achieve the purpose of grinding high without grinding low. The large backing plate should be equipped with a mechanism to clamp and fix the abrasive cloth, and the small backing plate can be tightened with abrasive cloth, as shown in Figure 2_6_7.
3. Grinding machine
There are pneumatic and electric grinding machines. Pneumatic grinding machine has low weight, high efficiency, convenient and safe use, and is widely used. Its structure (F66 type) is shown in Figure 2_6_8; Large, there is a danger of electric leakage during wet grinding, and its structure is shown in Figure 2_6_9.
