Coating usage determination

The amount of paint used refers to the amount of paint required to form a paint film of a certain thickness on the base plate per unit area. It can be divided into brush coating method and spray coating method, and the board making method is carried out according to the general preparation method of the paint film introduced above. The amount of paint used is measured with a balance, and the calculation method is: the mass of the paint brush and the container containing the sample before painting is subtracted from the mass of the paint brush and the remaining sample container after painting, and the difference is divided by the painted area; the spraying method It is to weigh the difference in mass of the test panel before and after spraying paint, and then divide it by the area of spray paint.

The amount of paint used x (g/m2) is calculated according to the following formula:

Figure 1 for the measurement of paint usage

Calculate the amount of paint used, then determine the surface area of the pre-coated object, and calculate the total number of coats to be painted, so that the quality of the paint required for the project can be estimated, and the loss during the construction process should be considered.

Total amount of coating (kg) = surface area of coating (m 2 ) x coating usage [kg/(m 2 ·pass)] x number of coating passes x loss factor

Among them, the loss parameter > 1 has a lot to do with the shape of the object to be coated, the coating method used, and the construction climate conditions, etc., and is between 1.1 and 2.0; the general high-pressure airless spraying flat surface loss coefficient is 1.6 to 1.8, which is difficult for spraying. The value of the surface coefficient is 1.8~2.0, the coefficient value of the hand painted flat surface is 1.3~1.4, and the value of the hand painted complex surface is 1.4~1.6.
