Cross grid test operation video

The cross-cut method is a common detection method for measuring the adhesion of paint films. The paint layer is scratched by a cross-cut knife (also called an adhesIon Meter) to evaluate the adhesion of the paint film.

The cut-off test has actually been used internationally for a long time. ASTM D3359 in the national standard of the United States stipulates that the adhesive tape test is used to determine the adhesion. In addition, the Japanese industrial standard JIS K5400 also stipulates. Of course, strictly speaking, since the adhesion is not only related to the upper coating and the substrate of the paint, but also other factors exist, we often call this method a scratch test instead of an adhesion test.

In this issue, we use a set of foreign videos to learn how to use the cross-hatching device to perform cross-hatching tests. Of course, no matter which factory's cross-cutting device is used, the operation method is the same.
