3. Preparatory work before the test
1. The test box should be firmly placed on a flat place away from strong airflow and strong magnetic field interference.
2. The test box should be reliably grounded.
3. The ambient temperature of the LUV-2 and LUV-3 Test Chambers should not exceed 30°C to ensure that the ideal temperature for temperature control is 21-27°C.
4. Carefully remove dust, rust, dirt and residual water stains in the test area.
5. Open the door and inject deionized water into the bottom of the Test Chamber. The conductivity of the water is <5 μs/cm, the solids in the water are <1 ppm, and the silica is <0.1 ppm. The water surface should be submerged in the water pump.
6. Prepare a control sample that has a similar composition and structure to the sample and has the same specifications. The performance of the control sample has been confirmed through standard outdoor exposure tests or other methods. The mode of failure is the same as that of the tested material, with one having relatively good durability and the other having relatively poor durability. In order to ensure the statistical evaluation of the test results, several replicate samples should be prepared for various samples and floor plates.
5. Install the sample and control sample on the sample turret to ensure reliable clamping and symmetrical distribution. It is recommended that the vacant positions be filled with blank samples to maintain consistent test conditions.

4. Operation steps
1. Set the required test time according to the steps specified in the instruction manual of the random "DHC6A High Reliability Multi-standard Time Relay".
2. Press the "Power On" button to turn on the power, and the UV lamp will light up.
3. Press the "timing" button, the test time relay starts timing, and automatically cuts off the power supply at the end of the test.
4. Press the "Rotate" button, and the specimen turret starts to rotate at a constant speed.
5. If it is necessary to simulate moisture erosion, set the required water spray and stop spray time according to the specified steps in the random "ZN48SS dual-setting four-digit display time relay" instruction manual, resulting in continuous or intermittent spray effect.
6. Press the "Spray" button, the water pump starts, and water comes out from the spout of the water delivery pipe.
7. When using the LUV-2 Test Chamber, if it is necessary to increase the test temperature, set the required temperature according to the specified steps in the random "XMT-C1212 Intelligent Temperature Controller" instruction manual. It is recommended that the upper temperature limit not exceed 60°C. If it is necessary to change the second setting parameter, it should be operated by experienced professionals or according to the "self-tuning" steps in the manual.
8. At the end of the test, open the warehouse to pick up the parts after confirming that the power is off, and restore all buttons to the initial (off) state.
9. Drain the water at the bottom of the tank and clean the test area.
5. Matters needing attention
1. Although the UVB light source with high irradiance level can better speed up the test process, it can sometimes cause aging damage to some materials than natural exposure, such as excessive discoloration. Therefore, this factor should be paid attention to when judging samples that are different from the control model.
2. Do not use uncertified non-special lamps.
3. Full-time personnel on duty should be equipped to monitor the aging and safety status during the whole process of the test.
4. It is necessary to open the door or replace the lamp tube under the premise of turning off the power.
5. Do not directly observe the lit UV lamp with naked eyes without goggles. Also, prevent skin burns.
6. If the water level drops significantly or the water level alarm lights of the LUV-2 and LUV-3 Test Chambers flash, deionized water should be replenished in time to avoid the water pump running in an anhydrous state.

通过对DHC6A高可靠多制式时间继电器的设定来控制本装置的连续试验时间
通常先完成该时间继电器(仪表)的功能设定和时间设定,然后再启动电气箱面板上的定时开关进入计时。
1. 功能设定
(1)延时范围设定
按动定时器的MODE(模式)键若干次,直至显示屏出现“T.RANGE”。按HOLD/TIME(设定)键1、2、3、4中的任一键,选择和连续试验时间相对应的延时范围。
(2)加/减计时设定
按动模式键,显示屏出现“UP/DOWN”。
试验通常为正计时,按设定键中的任一键,直至显示屏出现“UP/DOWN U”。
(3)工作模式、输出延时时间和键保护的设定参照上述步骤完成其余功能设定,显示出现诸如“OUT MODEA”、“OUT 30.0s”“kp-1”等所需内容。
2. 时间设定
按动 DISPLAY(显示)键,显示屏上排数码表示当前计时值,下排数码表示设定值,初始值均为“0.00”。
分别按动设定键4、3、2、1各若干次,可改变下排数码对应位的数值,直至显示屏出现所需的连续试验时间设定值。
3. 计时操作
按下电气箱面板上的“定时”自锁按钮,显示屏上排不断显示当前计时值,试验进入定时控制状态。
当连续试验结束,定时仪表自动切断试验箱电源。

通过对ZN48SS双设定四位数显时间继电器的设定来控制试验所需的间歇喷淋时间

Press the digit selection key for 8 seconds, the meter enters the code setting state, the two digital tube numbers in front of the upper display window flash, press the increase key several times to set the value to "13".
Press the digit selection key for 0.5 seconds, the last digit of the upper display window will flash, press the increase key several times to set its value to "5".
The upper display window shows "13-5". After 8 seconds, the meter returns to the initial state.
In the manual of the random time relay, other passwords required for use are listed on the inside cover for selection. For example, to expand the delay range to 1 minute to 9999 minutes under the requirements of double delay and positive timing, you can set the code of the upper row of display windows to "17-5" according to the above steps.
2. Time setting
Press the digit selection key for 0.5 seconds, and the meter enters the time setting state. The upper display window shows the stop spraying time, the first two digits represent minutes, and the last two digits represent seconds. The lower row shows the spraying time, and the rest are similar.
The digits of the upper display window flash, press the increase button to set the ten-digit minutes of the spray stop time, and then press the digit selection button, the blinking digits will move to the second digit, press the increase button to set the one-digit minutes, and so on. Set the number of seconds for the spray stop time. The spray stop time is set to "00.00" during continuous spraying.
Use the same method to complete the setting of the lower spray time.
3. Timing operation
Press the reset button, the meter switches to the normal working state. The indicator light POW on the dial of the time relay flashes to indicate the start of timing. The four digital tubes on the upper row display the current (immediate) value of stop spraying and spraying in turn, and the digital tubes in the lower row display the corresponding set value in turn. Stop spraying and spraying alternately into the timing state.
After completing the second "time setting" operation, you should press the reset button in time. If you don't press the button after 8 seconds, the display window will show a frozen state. At this time, the upper row of four digital tubes all display "0", indicating that the current value of stop spraying or spraying is 0, and the timing control has not been formally implemented, and the lower row still retains the set value of stop spraying or spraying.
