The strobe digital tachometer, referred to as the strobe, can keep flashing synchronously with the rotating object. Due to the visual residual effect of the human eye, a static image can be formed when observing a rotating object, that is, the motion of the object is frozen, so as to achieve the purpose of measuring the rotational speed and observing the fault of the rotating equipment. Because the speed can be measured conveniently without posting reflective strips, the stroboscope is a suitable speed measurement tool in the occasions where the equipment cannot be stopped at will in the process industrial production. At the same time, due to the relatively static surface observation in the running state, it is particularly useful in modern equipment condition monitoring and maintenance. It can observe and analyze defects such as the surface of the gear meshing surface of the commutator of a large DC motor and the surface of the impeller without stopping the machine. .

4. Measurement procedure
4.1 Make a measurement mark on the rotating body in advance, or select a certain part of the rotating body as a measurement mark.
4.2 Insert the power plug into the power socket and turn on the power switch. The instrument starts to flash, and the number on the display shows the number of flashes per minute.
4.3 Shine the flashlight on the measurement mark, adjust the flash speed coarse adjustment knob (3-5) and fine adjustment knob (3-6), and observe the stroboscopic image of the measurement mark. When the flash frequency changes from high to low, the flash speed when unidirectional fixation occurs for the first time is the measured rotational speed value.
4.4 When there is only one mark on the rotating body, the relationship between the stroboscopic image, the measured rotational speed and the flashing frequency and the calculation formula are listed in Table 1 below.
4.5当本仪器工作在低量程时，闪光亮度为高亮度，工作在高量程时，闪光亮度为低高亮度。高、低量程的转换，可通过H/L键来实现。
4.6若需要外部触发时，可将外部触发信号连接到外部触发插孔，通过EXT/INT键来实现内外触发信号的转换。
由上表可知，当用频闪转速表测量转速时，第一次出现单定象时的闪光频率就是被测转速值。当第二次出现单定象时的闪光频率就是被测转速值的两倍，依次类推。当闪光频率比被测转速高二倍、三倍……m倍时，将会出现二重象、三重象……m重象。
5.测量注意事项
5.1由于某些频率的强烈闪光有可能诱导癫痫病患者发病，因此应尽量避免在有癫痫病史者在场时使用本仪器。
5.2使用本仪器观察的目标影像为静止时，实际上它们仍处于高速运动状态，所以务请保持一段安全距离，并且不要试图接触目标。
5.3频闪转速仪的闪光灯有一定的寿命，在测量时，应尽可能地缩短测量的时间。尤其在测量高速转动的物体时，更要如此。
5.4高速测量时，由于闪光灯闪光的频率很高，会造成镜面位置发热。所以，为延长仪器的使用寿命，请勿连续使用。
5.5不要让液体或金属物进入本仪器内部，这可能导致长久性的损坏。
5.6由于机内有高压电路达数千伏之高，非专业维修人员切勿私自打开外壳，否则，有触电危险!!擅自打开机壳或拆封，将失去保修资格。
6.闪光灯管的更换
闪光灯为消耗品，不在保修范围内，其寿命约为１亿次，同时其寿命也取决于频闪仪的闪光强度和连续使用时间的长短。当连续使用频闪仪约５分钟后，闪光灯停止闪光，达到保护闪光灯的目的。若要继续使用，需要先关断电源开关，然后重新接通电源。
