large fruit
A. To select the appropriate punch for the sample to be measured, see Model Selection Guide .
B. At the same temperature, select 10-15 random fruits or 3% of a batch of fruits as samples. For best results, it is recommended that the same person measure the same batch of fruit.
C. Between the stem and the bottom surface of the fruit, between the sunny side and the back side, remove the outer skin . Then perform a penetration test.
D. Zero point adjustment
Hold the FHT and make the punch hang vertically in the air, the reading on the display should be 0. If it is not 0, press the "ZERO key" to display "0".
E. Hold the FHT, aim at the fruit, and insert the punch vertically and at a constant speed (about 3 seconds ).
F. The punch needs to be fully inserted into the fruit, or exceed the standard line of some punches.
G. Record the reading on the display.
H. If you need to measure the maximum value, just press and hold the "MAX key" before the measurement until the "MAX" mark appears on the display screen .
I. To measure the next sample, press the "ZERO key" first, and then follow steps E and F to measure.
J. Press the "UNIT key" to control the unit conversion.
K. For FHT-1122, make sure the punch size corresponds to the size . If not, press "7.9 /
11.1” key to select.
Small fruits are measured in basically the same way as large fruits,
The differences are as follows:
A. Penetration measurement is only done on one side of the stem and the bottom of the fruit .
B. No need to peel.
C. Sufficient penetration is required to obtain a peak reading. Test-and-error is a good way to measure small fruit.
Instrument maintenance
A. Before daily use, push and pull the punch repeatedly 10 seconds to ensure free movement of the unit.
B. Clean the punch after use. Hold the instrument the load shaft down, rinse for a few seconds under a slow-flow tap, and towel dry with the load shaft down to dry further.
C. Never add lubricating oil , because it will attract dust and cause friction to increase, which will damage the accuracy .
