Pressure barrel conveying system and operation

1. Pressure barrel conveying system

The composition of the pressure barrel conveying system is shown in Figure 3-5.

Pressure barrel conveying system and operation diagram 1

The compressed air generated by the Air Compressor passes through the oil-water separator to remove impurities such as oil and water, and then enters the air storage tank. The compressed air from the air storage tank is divided into two paths, one is sent to the pressure barrel to pressurize the paint, and the other is sent to the Spray Gun through the air hose to provide air for atomizing the paint during spraying. Two pressure regulators should be connected to the two outlets of the air storage tank, one to adjust the air pressure entering the pressure barrel, and the other to adjust the air pressure entering the Spray Gun. There are two pipes on the top of the pressure barrel, which respectively enter the compressed air and transport the paint into the Spray Gun, and are respectively equipped with regulating valves to adjust the air pressure and paint flow. On the cover of the pressure tank, there is also a delivery pipe for the paint to enter. The paint delivery pipe must extend below the paint liquid level of the inner cylinder containing the paint, and a filter is attached so that the paint is well filtered before entering the pressure tank. . The control of the paint flow is achieved by selecting the aperture of the paint nozzle on the Spray Gun and controlling the valve on the pressure barrel to adjust the inlet pressure and paint output. When a pressure barrel provides paint for multiple Spray Guns, a paint pressure regulator should be installed on the paint pipeline. The pressure set by the regulator is the output pressure of the paint.

2. Precautions for use

(1) The requirements for selecting a suitable paint pressure barrel for the paint are:

①The viscosity should not be too high, otherwise it is not conducive to transportation. If you need to use higher viscosity paint, you should choose a special pressure barrel that discharges from the bottom of the barrel.

②The coating is not easy to precipitate. There should be no sedimentation of the paint during use, because even using a stirring device cannot effectively solve the problem of paint sedimentation in the pipeline between the Spray Gun and the pressure barrel. It is better to use a booster pump to transport the paint that is easy to settle.

③Non-corrosive. If the paint is corrosive to the pressure tank, a paint tank made of stainless steel should be selected or a corrosion-resistant lining should be installed. When the color needs to be changed frequently, in order to avoid the trouble of cleaning the pressure barrel, it should be considered to use a disposable lining, which is easy to replace and does not need to be cleaned.

(2) It is necessary to ensure that there is sufficient compressed air source because the compressed air needs to be able to meet the pressure and air flow requirements of the pressure barrel and Spray Gun at the same time.

(3) Ensure the safety of the pressure phase Like all pressure vessels, it is necessary to pay attention to its safety when using it to prevent harm to the human body, so the value of the pressure gauge on the pressure barrel should be checked frequently. The air pressure of the pressure barrel cannot exceed the set pressure value and the pressure limit that the pressure phase can bear. When installing the upper cover of the pressure barrel, the fastening clips can only be tightened by hand, and the two fastening clips at the opposite positions should be tightened at the same time, instead of using a wrench, so as not to damage the sealing ring by excessive force. If there is still air leakage after tightening, it is likely that the sealing ring is damaged, and the sealing ring should be replaced in time. Note that the safety valve on the pressure phase cover can never be removed.

(4) Careful cleaning after use should pay attention to keeping the pressure barrel clean, and should be cleaned in time after use. The residual paint should be removed with organic solvents or paint removers, and the residual paint should never be removed by burning. It is also necessary to carefully clean the pipes where the paint enters and exits the pressure barrel, so as not to let the paint block the pipes.
