UV curing coating powder curing characteristics

UV curing powder coating is a new type of powder coating that can be cured under the action of ultraviolet rays. When using UV curing powder coatings, its curing equipment is different from heat curing powder coatings.

Specifically in:

①The melt leveling and curing process of UV powder coatings are separated and completed independently, while the leveling and curing of heat curing powder coatings is an overlapping and staggered process.

②UV powder coatings only need a low film-forming temperature and a short curing time, so the leveling and film formation can be completed in a few minutes, and the curing can be completed in only a few seconds, so the total length of the curing equipment line for UV powder coatings Much shorter than heat curing powder coatings.

③The heat required for UV powder coating curing is less, and the required heat is mainly used for the melting and leveling of powder coatings, and this process can be completed at a lower temperature of 90-120 ℃. In this process, the powder coating molecules No cross-linking reaction occurs. Only after this stage is completed, the cross-linking polymerization reaction will occur under ultraviolet irradiation, and the curing reaction can be completed in a very short time. Therefore, the leveling and curing of UV powder coatings are completed independently in two stages. Its curing oven is also composed of two parts: the leveling heating section for infrared drying and the UV curing section.
