Powerbasic Stirrer and Electromagnetic Stirrer

electric mixer

An electric stirrer is often used to stir a two-phase solution so that it is homogeneously mixed. The agitator is powered by DC series excitation and servo motors, with functions such as voltage transformation, rectification, and stepless speed regulation. It is installed on a vertical iron rod with a heavy base, and the height and angle can be adjusted arbitrarily. There is a chuck under the rotating shaft of the motor, which can hold the stirring rotating shaft of glass or metal. The speed of the motor is regulated by the speed regulating switch.

Precautions for using electric mixer:

①The chuck should firmly hold the stirring shaft. The stirring shaft and the motor shaft should keep the same rotation axis.

② When stirring and rotating, it should be stable, uniform and not shaken. The stirring paddle should not touch the container and should rotate freely.

③ Stirring speed should be slowly increased from low speed. The speed is usually between 0~6000r/min, and there is a speed adjustment knob on the electric stirrer, which can be adjusted arbitrarily. If there is no adjusting knob, it can be adjusted by connecting a voltage regulating transformer.

④High-speed stirring is usually used for low-viscosity liquids, and low-speed stirring is used for high-viscosity liquids.

Electromagnetic stirrer

Electromagnetic stirrers are widely used in operations that require stirring, such as potentiometric titration, pH determination, ion-selective electrode determination of various ions, etc. The electromagnetic stirrer usually has the functions of heating, temperature control, electromagnetic stirring, timing and speed regulation.

There is a metal plate on the surface of the electromagnetic stirrer, which is used to place the stirred container, the stirred liquid and the stirring magnet (a small iron rod sealed by a glass tube or a plastic tube, about 2mmX25mm), and the metal chassis part There is a metal heating wire and a mica insulating layer, and a permanent magnet under the chassis is connected to the rotating motor, and the motor drives the permanent magnet to attract the stirring magnets to rotate and play a stirring role. There are power switch, heating switch, speed adjustment knob and indicator light on the panel of the electromagnetic stirrer.

The use and precautions of the electromagnetic stirrer are as follows:

① Before use, first adjust the speed adjustment knob to the minimum, connect the 22oV power supply, turn on the power switch, and the power indicator will light up.

②Adjust the appropriate speed. If the adjustment speed is too high, the rotation speed of the magnet will not keep up with the rotation, and the rotation speed will be uneven; if the adjustment speed is too slow, it may cause uneven speed.

③Place the container containing the material to be stirred in the center of the tray, and select a suitable stirring magnet to put into the solution. The rotating stirring magnet should be located in the center of the container and should not touch the wall of the container. When heating is required, the heating switch can be turned on to adjust the appropriate temperature.

④Keep the outer wall of the container dry, and the speed should not be too fast, so as to prevent the solution from splashing and corroding the tray. Cut off the power supply in time after use.
