SarnamotiveSchenk designs and manufactures functional and interior components, as well as decorative accessories for the automotive interior. SarnamotiveSchenk GmbH, headquartered in Esslingen, Germany, is part of Sarnamotive Europe, the holding company of SarnaKunststoff.
Sarnamotive has further offices in Bretten, Germany and Liberec, Czech Republic, serving automotive suppliers and the plastics industry. As a small and medium-sized independent company, Sarnamotive puts its customers in Esslingen first in all decisions, thus avoiding long and complex decision-making processes. Sarnamotive's plastic automotive products require a color that matches well with the rest of the car's interior. Interior color varies by automaker, and often there are only subtle differences in color. This makes it easy to reject products that are produced in a different color than the rest of the vehicle. To better meet customer needs, Sarnamotive needed to improve its color management tools.

Sarnamotive needed a solution to the problem of color communication. Their color didn't quite match their claims, but the color was correct as read by Sarnamotive's Spectrophotometer . Inconsistent results from measuring instruments led to rejection of Sarnamotive's product by the customer. Since some of Sarnamotive's customers are using X-Rite900 series instruments, Sarnamotive also decided to use X-Rite962, 0°/45° portable Spectrophotometer with quality control software QAMas-ter.

Sarnamotive uses the 962 Spectrophotometer as a means of ongoing color control measurement with every new product launch and every color change.

Today, Sarnamotive has a very high instrument agreement with its customers. The instrument is compact and lightweight with a large, easy-to-read graphical LCD display and rugged construction for practicality on the production floor. X-Rite962 uses a rechargeable battery for remote use and can memorize 1024 standards and 2000 samples.
