1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the quality requirements and inspection methods of gravure printed matter, and is applicable to printed matter of books and periodicals. Other gravure printing products can also be used as a reference.

3 categories
3.1 Fine printed matter: Printed matter that is finely plate-made and printed using high-quality raw and auxiliary materials.
3.2 General printed matter: Printed matter that meets the corresponding quality standards except 3.1.
4 Quality requirements
4.1 Monochrome gravure prints
4.1.1 Tone value
4.1.1.1 Dark tone: The effective density of fine prints is not less than 1.5, and the effective density of general prints is not less than 1.4.
4.1.1.2 Bright tone: the bright tone density of fine printed matter is 0.06-0.18, and the bright tone density of general printed matter is 0.08-0.20.
4.1.2 Layers: bright, medium, and dark tones are distinct, coordinated, and delicate.
4.1.3 Outlets: clear and complete.
4.1.4 Layout: uniform and neat.
4.2 Color gravure printing
4.2.1 Tone value
4.2.1.1 Dark tone: See Table 1 for the density range.

4.2.1.2 Bright tone: the bright tone density range of fine prints is 0.08—0.20, and the light tone density range of general printed matter is 0.10—0.22.
4.2.2 Levels: Bright, medium and dark tones are distinct, harmonious and delicate.
4.2.3 Overprint: The outline of the image is clear, and the overprint tolerance is shown in Table 2.
