"Research on Erosion and Wear Properties of Polyurethane (Urea) Coatings" was written by scholars Zhong Ping, Peng Engao, Li Jian, and Xiao Xin from Wuhan Institute of Material Protection and Hunan Institute of Engineering. Erosion and wear performance research experiments, and analysis of the experimental results. By preparing polyurethane (urea) elastic coating, using Spray Gun to prepare polyurethane (urea) coating on glass test piece, using Taber friction and wear Tester and high-speed sandy water jet erosion wear Tester to evaluate the wear resistance of polyurethane (urea) coating Performance, using a scanning electron microscope to observe the wear surface morphology of the coating, and analyze the relationship between the coating composition and its erosion wear performance.
The results show that: 1. The components of the main film-forming substances in the coating system have a great influence on the erosion and wear resistance of polyurethane (urea) coatings. The wear resistance of polyurethane (urea) coating is enhanced with the increase of additive content.
2. The bubbles in the preparation process of polyurethane (urea) coating are the key factors affecting its wear performance, and reducing the bubbles in the coating is the key to improving its wear resistance.
3. The pure polyurea coating has superior wear performance than the polyurethane/polyurea mixed system coating, not only under the condition of dry friction, but also under the condition of high-speed water-containing sand flow erosion, it also shows excellent anti-erosion wear performance, and Sensitivity to erosion angles has been improved.
