Polyurethane resin is one of the common film-forming materials of coatings and is widely used in leather, plastic, furniture, automobile and other industries. Water-based polyurethane is a water-based dispersion medium, which has the advantages of no pollution and safe transportation, but has the disadvantages of poor abrasion resistance and solvent resistance. "The Effect of Additives on the Abrasion Resistance of Waterborne Polyurethane Coatings" mainly aimed at improving the abrasion resistance of waterborne polyurethane coatings. 2 Controlling the amount of several additives in nano-hybrid dispersion (WPUS) to find a good type and amount of additives to achieve good abrasion resistance of water-based polyurethane coatings.
The results show that when the mass fraction of additives increases from 2% to 10%, the abrasion resistance of the waterborne polyurethane coating films obtained by adding wax emulsion, silicone emulsion, and polytetrafluoroethylene emulsion shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. However, the abrasion resistance of the coating film increases gradually by adding WPUS. When the mass fractions of wax emulsion, silicone emulsion, PTFE emulsion, and WPUS are 2%, 2%, 6%, and 10%, respectively, the coating film has good wear resistance
