Effect of cationic polyethylene wax emulsion on Resin film performance

"The Effect of Cationic Polyethylene Wax Emulsion on the Properties of Resin Coating Film" describes the experiment of mixing cationic polyethylene (PE) wax emulsion with cationic resin to form a film, and studying the influence of wax emulsion on the mechanical properties, water resistance and solvent resistance of the coating film . According to GB/T 528-1998 and GB/T 1768-2006 respectively, the mechanical properties and wear resistance of the coating film are tested, and the water absorption of the copper drum coating film is used to test its water resistance.

Experimental results:

(1) Cationic PE wax emulsion is mixed with commonly used cationic polyurethane resin and acrylic resin to form a film. When 5:55≤m(PE wax emulsion):m(resin)≤20:40, it will not affect the feel of the coating film. and negatively impact performance.

(2) The cationic PE wax emulsion can improve the mechanical properties such as tensile strength and tear strength of acrylic resin film and polyurethane film, and can improve the water resistance, abrasion resistance and solvent resistance of the coating film.
