The Necessity of Adopting Standard Color Numbers in Pipeline Engineering Design

In the previous engineering design, there were generally no specific requirements for the color of the equipment cabinets in the station, and some were only general requirements such as yellow, gray, etc., which were not rigorous, which could easily lead to the same color requirements but inconsistent colors of different manufacturers’ products, affecting the overall Effect. In particular, the station project has the characteristics of many types of equipment, many specialties involved, and many construction units, and the problems are more prominent.

In view of this situation, it is necessary to adopt a common standard system that can accurately describe the color to specify and unify the equipment color. Since there are a large number of imported equipment for gas transmission station equipment, the international standard color system should be considered first. According to the research in the early stage of design, most of the mainstream manufacturers of common equipment for gas pipelines at home and abroad accept the RAL (RAL) color standard for equipment production, and many of them have experience in using this Color Chart.

In view of this, we adopted the internationally accepted Raul (RAL) standard color system and its Color Chart to clearly define the color in the design of the pipeline project in Jining.
