Laboratory Stirrer operated stirringrod application reference

The stirring rods of laboratory mixers are mainly divided into three-blade propeller type, four-blade propeller type, dissolving type, centrifugal type, fan type, anchor type, etc., and their applications are as follows:

Three-blade propeller type: for medium and high speed use. Make the mixed medium flow axially from top to bottom, and the shear force is small.

Four-blade propeller type: for medium and high speed use. Make the mixed medium flow axially from top to bottom to produce local shear force of water.

Dissolving type: medium and high speed use. Make the mixed medium flow radially from the top and bottom, and the strong turbulent flow and high shear force formed can crush the particles in the liquid.

Centrifugal type: medium and high speed use. The double blades open as the speed increases, suitable for use in narrow-mouth containers. The stirring effect is similar to that of a four-bladed propeller.

Fan type: use at medium and low speeds. The tangential flow turbulence is small, and the heat exchange performance is good. It is used in occasions that require gentle stirring of the medium.

Anchor type: low speed use. Tangential flow is created, with high shear rates at the edges. Make it difficult for the mixed medium to deposit on the container wall. Applied to polymer reaction and dispersion of minerals in liquid, it is a satisfactory stirring element for medium and high viscosity fluids.
