Aluminum-based grease is a kind of soap-based grease with good pumpability and water resistance, which can be used for lubrication and protection of equipment in contact with water. Aluminum-based grease is obtained by metathesis reaction of fatty acid with aluminum isopropoxide and aluminum isopropoxide trimer in base oil. Base oils have a significant effect on the performance of aluminum-based greases:
1) Aluminum-based grease made of high-viscosity base oil is soft;
2) The aluminum-based grease made of low-viscosity base oil has a thicker consistency and is transparent/translucent in appearance, but the oil separation is larger.
