Based on the existing research conclusions: adding surfactants to the gas hydration reaction solution can promote gas dissolution, thereby increasing the rate of hydrate formation. In order to clarify the mechanism of the influence of surfactants on the formation of gas hydrate and to find out the law affecting the surface tension of the reaction liquid, the authors of the article "Surfactant Effects on the Surface Tension of Gas Hydrate Reaction Liquid" did specific experimental research. In the laboratory at a temperature range of 3°C to 12°C, sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS), hexadecyltrimethyl bromide, Ammonium (CTAB) and polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene (P123) three kinds of surfactants reduce the surface tension of the reaction solution, the influence of concentration and temperature on the surface tension of the solution was investigated, and the mechanism of the influence analyzed.
Experimental results
(1) Three surfactants, CTAB, SDBS and P123, were added to the gas hydrate reaction solution, the surface tension of the reaction solution was reduced, which accelerated the rate of gas molecules entering the water-air interface layer, thereby accelerating the rate of hydrate formation , the promotion effect was better for CTAB, middle for SDBS, and lowest for P123.
(2) After the three surfactants were added to the hydration reaction solution, the surface tension of the reaction solution decreased as the temperature increased, but within the experimental temperature range, the value did not change much.
(3) After the three surfactants were added to the hydration reaction solution, the surface tension of the reaction solution decreased first and then increased with the increase of the concentration of the surfactant, and at low concentrations, the influence of the concentration change on the surface tension was relatively small. big.
(4) CMC containing CTAB, P123, and SDBS hydration reaction solutions were obtained in the experiment, and the mass fractions were 300×10 -6 , 500×10 -6 , and 700×10 -6 , respectively .
(5) When w(CTAB) in the gas hydrate reaction solution is 300×10 -6 , the surface tension reaches the lowest value, which is about 79.6% lower than that of the pure water system, and the effect of promoting gas-liquid mass transfer is better at this time.
