(1) Concrete sealer The concrete sealer is mainly epoxy varnish, its function is to close the capillary pores, stick the dust on the surface of the concrete, enhance the strength of the concrete surface layer, and provide a strong enough foundation for the construction of the subsequent paint. Other applied products include acrylic sealer, epoxy mortar and so on.
(2) Inorganic zinc silicate sealer paint is rich in zinc powder in inorganic zinc silicate paint, and there are gaps in its particles. When it is directly covered with high-build paint, the air between the zinc powder particles will not penetrate. The paint film escapes, causing pinholes. One of the solutions is to use a sealer. After the inorganic zinc silicate paint is cured, use an epoxy sealer with strong penetrating power, and spray it with a thin thickness of about 30µm to force the air to escape.
(3) Sealing paint of metal spraying layer is used for sealing paint of metal spraying layer such as zinc spraying or aluminum spraying layer, you can refer to the sealing coat using inorganic zinc silicate surface, and you can also use the aftercoat paint for mist layer spraying method ( mist-coat). Epoxy micaceous iron antirust paint is a commonly used variety, and there is also a primer specially used for metal spray coatings, which can not only play a sealing role, but also play a role in connecting the substrate and the next paint to increase adhesion.
(4) Old paint film sealer In many cases, when renovating the old paint film, the compatibility between the new coating and the old paint film, or with other companies' products must be considered. If you are not sure, you can use a sealer to seal the old paint film, and then apply a new coat.
During the construction of the bottom of the ship, sometimes due to the uncertainty of the anti-rust paint and anti-fouling paint used in the last dock repair, at this time, after sandblasting the primer on the rusted area, you can use vinyl aluminum powder primer and chlorinated rubber primer Carry out full sealing, usually the paint film is 50µm, and then apply antifouling paint. Vinyl bituminous paint is not suitable as a sealer, because the strong solvents in it often damage the adhesion of the old antifouling paint, causing problems such as cracking of the paint film.
