Some problems existing in the viscometer work in our country are pointed out. Suggestions are put forward on repairing the verification rules of viscometer, standardizing the name and valid period of standard viscosity liquid, and strengthening the management of viscometer verification work. It is emphasized that the kinematic viscosity and viscosity values at different temperatures should be given in the standard viscosity liquid certificate to meet the needs of viscometer verification work.

Viscosity is an important indicator of fluid materials. To ensure the accuracy of viscosity measurement results, two basic conditions need to be guaranteed:
